Jesus arrived two millennia ago and completely negated this view of God. Jesus came to show that God is represented by the Tree of Life not the Tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil. Jesus understanding of God is radically different than that revealed by the Old Testament Writers. No wonder the disciples asked Him to show them the Father.
